Well, its a "normal" openning week, the 360 rpgs open with about 10-15% of its userbase, WKC its open with about 8-10 % of ps3 userbase, so, its the best selling for obvious reasons.

Personally I believe Star Ocean 4 will come to the PS3 platform, however SE is giving Microsoft a head start.

I have openly stated that I have a preference, and Im not denying it as its quite obvious.

 And youre fucking wrong if you believe I hate the 360. In fact I have alot respect for it. Its the company behind that I dislike, they have some business techniques and practices I dont respect. And for those and more reasons I dont desire to support them as a company.

If they plan to promote the 360 like their other products I'd rather not join in. Sure they are giving developers and advantage but at what cost. Personally I believe their place in the console industry could ruin the gaming industry. Just the thought of the xbox brand ending up the same as windows makes me cringe.

But for the most part people dont think about it, as long as they get all the games they want they dont grant it any thought.

So you see, my reasons for not supporting the 360 have been ground founded.

Yours on the other hand I imagine are due to the same old shit of "lol 599$" "lol blu-ray" "enemy crab" etc. etc. and shit.

But hey enough about this, we're getting off topic.

Yes we're off topic so let's end this, but just one correction: my Sony dislike has nuffin to do with the introduction and features of the PS3 (although I found the enemy crab humour extremely funny... I lol now that you bring it up) - my Sony loathing goes decades back in time.

Xenogears is probably one of the best JRPGs around, like Euphoria said, and you owe it to yourself to play some good JRPGs like that. Not mediocre ones like LO and the like. Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Star Ocean: The Second Story, FF VII-IX, Valkyrie Profile, SaGa Frontier 1-2, Grandia, Lunar 1-2, Legend of Mana, Legend of Dragoon, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Chrono Cross Breath of Fire 3-4...

Against: Secret of Mana, Tales of Phantasia, FF IV-VI, Terranigma, Secret of Evermore, Chrono Trigger, Illiusion of Gaia, Star Ocean, Bahamut Lagoon...

Maybe I missed a couple... but my choice goes for the PS1.

As for WKC, nice... I hope it does 350-400k LTD (or more thanks to online, Japan seems to love it). For now my primary concern is actually getting the game.

Bahamut Lagoon is a SRPG


I can add many quality missed titles to the arguement but largely i must know whether you mean to include SRPG... or rather they are only included when bolstering "JRPG Lineups".

Some that come to mind in the traditional end.  EARTHBOUND, Act Raiser, EVO, Robotrek, 7th Saga, Lufia, Lufia 2 and Super Mario RPG.

I knew I forgot some!

As for BL, it's a SRPG sure, but it has a JRPG vibe to it.

 

You listed BoF for the PS1, but not the BoF SNES games? There's also Dragon Quest 5/6, Seiken Densetsu 3 (aka Secret of Mana 2), Fire Emblem games, Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Romancing Saga games, Shin Megami Tensei games.

Remakes also seem to be ok since you listed Lunar 1/2 (originally Sega CD games) and Grandia (originally a Sega Saturn game) on the PS1 side, so that would also include Dragon Quest 1/2/3.

I probably won't see this much damage control again, until some certain games get announced for PS3. ;)



Prediction:

TGS this year for PS3 will be amazing.

Grandia comes to PSN(PSone classic).

First Versus gameplay this year.
