I suggest angry and disgruntled posters in this topic stop their meltdowns and just calm down. It is, after all, only a video game. It's very much not worth getting overly worked up over the fact that Wii Sports has sold most of its copies as a pack-in, because really, you just open up a huge can of worms in the process and make things much more irritating for yourself and those around you.

err I own a Wii too and happen to really like WiiSports. I just don't think that is should be considered the best selling game ever since it was not sold outside of Japan. 

Off the top of my head the top three non-bundeled games are

1.     Pokémon Red, Blue, and Green
2.     Nintendogs
3.     Super Mario Bros. 3

if i woulda known this would happen 4 years ago i woulda proly cried bitterly. personaly feel it's a shame but what can you do....

True, but most of their sales did not come from being bundeled.

Very few games indeed on the top 50 were never bundled. Even Gran Turismo 3 and 4 both got PS2 system bundles, and of course there have been countless "unofficial" bundles made by retailers themselves over the years too (I seriously doubt, for example, that Nintendo officially endorsed the GBA SP bundle with that Cars game that Costco was carrying a few years back). Voluntary or not, a copy of a game sold is still a copy of a game sold. The money gets back to the developer either way.

That isn't awesome to me, Wii Sports is well.... Wii Sports.

 It has sold plenty, but it looks as if SML has it beat by plenty along with GTA:SA
