Forums - Nintendo - Wow, I am beyond disappointed with Nintendo.

Stever brings up a good point. Nintendo has been provding the Wii with hit after hit, and they've nailed the games that have come with incredible hype. Brawl is my favorite of the Smash series, Galaxy is my favorite 3-d Mario platformer since the 64 version, Prime 3 is still my favorite single player experience I've had on the Wii (and the gen thus far) and Kart is the best console iteration since the 64 (Sorry Bigjon, I loved the 64 version)

I don't think there is another company out there that has been as consistent at providing quality games as Nintendo is.

MK64 seems to be a love it or hate it type game.

It goes

Wii > SNES > DS > GC > GBA > N64 for me

I'll give you that it is hate it or love it, but that list is lame (lol, I'm kidding). My list is N64<Wii<SNES, I wasn't feeling double dash at all, but it wasn't bad. But every MK I've played has been a blast. For Smash Bros though its Wii<N64<Melee. And the last I'll do is Mario: N64>Wii...Sunshine was very disappointing for me. That game also seems to have a hate it or love it following.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Anyone who says the Wii is better then the N64 is just plain ignorant. There is no excuse for being that oblivious. Not only was the 64 just as revolutionary in design, but the games actually achieved a true quantum leap. In one generation games went from two dimensions to three dimensions. The current games are merely minor refinements of what really matured on that console.

You want to see for yourself what I am talking about watch these videos. The difference between the 64 and the Wii is simple. Both were novel in how we played the games, but the 64 did something the Wii has not done. The 64 brought the presentation to an entirely new level. We were used to Dpads, and flat worlds. The 64 gave us analog control, and worlds with depth.

I'll perhaps check it out.  LittleBigPlanet (truly innovative) is keeping me busy at the moment...

Of course, a game centered around a complex editor tools and driven by player created content.

Never find anything like that on the Wii.

Reviews are still pretty acurate. MK Wii and Animal Crossing Wii both got 7/10 reviews. Imo MK Wii is 7.5/10, but reviewers were pretty close on both games.
Next year Wii is getting about 15 killer titles though, so don't abandon the Wii. This year we got like 3 good games. Next year the floodgates open.

Sure. In other words, anyone who does not share the exact same opinion as you is automatically wrong. What a mature statement.

Well heres my opinion. If you are going to compare it to the snes - n64 gap, considering it was the introduction of 3d, nothing will ever be "innovative" again! What could you possibly expect Nintendo to do that is as big as the addition of a third dimension??? This, that there is no new obvious step forward in gaming advancement, is exactly why nintendo made the wii! they tried to innovate, and do something different because the gaming industry was stuck in a repetitive rut. I reckon they did a pretty damn good job too! I reckon that the wii is more innovative, simply because it wasnt a logical, obvious step forward. Anyone could have seen 3d coming. It was inevitable. The wii though, was completely different, and out of the blue.

Ive spent more hours on wii music than all the games mentioned on this thread so stop saying its a bad game dammit !

Just because you like something doesn't make it any good. I loved Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 on N64! The game was terrible, but I enjoyed tons!

Do not let the haters get you down. I personally agree with your assessment. I think Nintendo has become complacent, and gasp inexcusably lazy. What you are taking note of is the repackaging mentality. I cannot honestly understand how someone can jaw jack at Electronic Arts when Nintendo is the prime offender this generation.

Basically if you have a Gamecube the Wii is actually redundant. All the games are just repackaged anyway. Why waste the cash. You might gather I stopped purchasing games for my Wii like eighteen months ago. It really is just disappointing.

Weren't you just on a rant about how this site is filled with too many troll posts? Maybe you should practice what you preach and not make claims such as "Wii games are just repackaged Gamecube games." But then again, I'm sure you don't even understand why that's a troll post to begin with.

I'm perplexed as to how you loved a game but when something/someone says it's bad, the game suddenly becomes bad and your enjoyment of it suddenly diminishes.

Pixel Art can be fun.

My question is why you expected something different. Scores may be overrated, but please read some reviews and watch some game-play footage. You could have saved yourself $50.

Oh my enjoyment didn't diminish at all. I loved the game, but I'm smart enough to know that it sucked hard. It was a terribly made game, but I still had fun.
