Woah. The actually look somewhat nice in Youtube's "HD". It's the same resolution as GameTrailer's videos, but without as many compression artifacts.

Downloading these straight from Playlive in 720p was the best, though. Too bad they were forced to take them down a few weeks back. They had a whole lot more than just two videos, too.

Yea, I was surfing around and found HD versions of the videos, same definition as the adding &fmt=18 does to videos on Youtube. They really blew my mind. When I saw the game opening, I saw a few moments of it slipping into the uncanny valley.

When Sav(I think thats his name?) gets up out of bed, walks to the sink, check out the sink for a second. It trully will play mind games on you. Sav looks almost photo realistic at times as well. I really was thrown for a loop when that other guy came in the room to get sav, his motions and body expression was so life like it looked real. Also when Sav traded weapons with that other guy was a good moment.

And to think all of it is in game. This is proven by the seamless transition between the opening and you gaining control over Sav.

I think I should post that video, what was I thinking not doing so lol.

Killzone 2 will be the best looking console game until God of War III or Heavy Rain, whichever comes first. These graphics are incredible.

And there's no install.

This raises Guerilla to Insomniac and Naughty Dog quality, but they have to prove their worth a little more before they can get up to Team ICO and Santa Monica status. They can do it, I'm sure.

Agreed! They definitely are rising above the claims of their first game. Personally I think Killzone 1 was a good title. It was really only held back by the PS2's limitations, which were the cause of it's framerate issues and lack of online. Now that the PS3 offers the best there is in console hardware I believe GG can overcome the stigma of the first.

This game does look awesome with the detail, physics, animation, lighting, etc. Screenshots don't do this game justice it's better than anything I've seen on consoles yet and I own a PS3 and a 360.

although killzone 2 looks to be the best console game made up until that point...i feel it will be eclipsed by god of war and gran turismo 5....................imo gt5 will be the best looking game this gen.
