@Aj_habf, I am a legs fan to point where the game actually has some decent lifetime sales. All I am saying is Sony needs more of those huge IPs they once had on the psone and ps2 that are exclusive.

The problem is that those games have been in development since what 2006? Early 2007 ? When people expected PS3 to take off and crush the opposition. Now 2 years have passed and PS3 is having abysmal time in Japan, and not many more Japanese exclusives have been announced. Look at the recently announced releases for the Wii (which were caused by it's sales world wide)

With HD development costs only few exclusive 3rd Party games on PS3 are able to sell well (MGS4, Versus) the rest will share the fate of VC. Multiplat is the future of HD consoles because of the costs.

Sigh. LittleBigPlanet, Valkyria Chronicles and Uncharted are Playstation's only good IPs?

Heavenly Sword, God of War, Gran Turismo, Jak, Ratchet and Clank, ICO, Resistance, all cancelled?

I think he means the Ps3 needs a series of blockbuster releases that aren't on the 360, like the PS2 had year after year. Currently, it doesnt have a tight chain of awesome and *many* people still think the 360 has a much stronger list of games.

You DO know that the worst selling (full) Gran Turismo game has sold better than the best selling Halo game?

Gran Turismo 4: 9.59 million sales
Halo 3: 8.68 million sales
Gran Turismo 3: 14.87 million sales
Halo: Combat Evolved: 6.43 million sales.

So effectively, Gran Turismo is Sony's Halo, Final Fantasy would be Gears of War if it was still exclusive (-.-) *looks at PS2 list*

Kingdom Hearts, if that somehow becomes a PS3 exclusive, would sell extremely well...

Resistance has shown itself to be a strong seller, as have Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid.

The PS3 has plenty of IPs, just not a lot of them have been released yet.

Thats true, i wasnt saying the PS3 doesnt have alot of IP's infact imo it has the most this gen out of all 3 companys.

BUT sells wise, ... er.... not so much....

GTA and Final Fantasy are massive IPs, but Sony just had to go and lose them...
