From the Jump Festa, seems like Capcom has decided to release Monster HUnter 3 the same day as Resident Evil 5, March 5 2009

Well yes the're on different systems and are different games, but in my opinion is not the best decision for Capcom.

What? Is MH3 that close to release? And RE5 that far? That doesn't seem right.

In Japan MH3 would definately overshadow RE5 but if HD console owners don't have a Wii...

So March 5 in Japan, I don't remember seeing this game listed in Nintendo's Q1 and Q2 release schedule. MH3 will move some serious hardware in Japan.

Thats stupid. I imagine there is quite a few PS3/Wii owners in Japan. Plus MH was a PSP franchise. So alot of PSP owners probably have PS3's.

No, it was originally a PS2 franchise. Monster Hunter Freedom is the PSP franchise

... I said it above, to prove their loyalty Capcom must kill the Resident Evil franchise in Japan... Nintendo requires it.
