Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii + Left 4 Dead = OMFG, right?

Have you seen the preview for Dead Rising for the Wii? It has like 10 zombies on screen at a time compare to the hundreds on the 360.

There is no way L4D can be done on the Wii as the AI director, Zombies on screen and environment details are too much for the Wii to handle. Now, if we can somehow use the Wiimote on the 360, then that will be the bomb!

wut

I could of have sworn the latest trailer had at least a hundred zombies, or nearly. >_>

According to the preview it never has more than a dozen zombies at a time http://kotaku.com/5040381/dead-rising-wii-+-how-gimped-it-is

That is a great idea! I wish it would happen.

lol, I thought you were talking about Left4Dead for a second until I actually looked at the link.  >_>

It would probably look okay. Maybe like the original Xbox version of HL2. Online would be the problem.

Okay, I'm wrong about the hundred, I exaggerated. But the fact the game can't show more than a dozen is wrong.

Plus, that article was in August. Capcom has been trying to improve the game since then. The recent trailer (December) from what I've saw, showed atleast 3 dozen zombies or so.

http://www.capcom.co.jp/deadrising_wii/movie.html (The first vid, I think)

The part with the car has a decent amount of zombies. If that game can pull it off, then a L4D Wii port can too. I was able to count at least 40 zombies in one frame alone. Not including the ones extremely far away at the top right, since the logo is in the way.

Sure. The HL2 engine could easily run on the Wii, if they bothered to do a little work.

I have seen 13 or more zombies on screen at the time in one trailer and that ain't important. The important thing is how many zombies is in a giving area, and there are a lot of zombies in some areas. But in some areas, 2-3 extra zombies would do much if they where added.

But at the same time, we talk about a fast port of parts from Dead Rising and RE4 to Wii, so I in no way think this is the limit for Wii in graphics or Zombie count.

*looks at Dead Rising Wii* ...........No

I would definately do not want a simple port of the 360 version, it wouldnt work. Now if they build a version from scratch using similar amount of resources and talent then i am confident that this would sell extremely well (wii fans love zombies)
