In America probably yes. In Europe, probably a draw. In Japan, no.
Overall, I would say yes, but only if the next nintendo console is not released before 2011-2012.
From me you wont hear " Wait for 199 ps3", if the ps3 doesnt start selling drasticly well at 299 then I know for sure they lost this gen.

Possibly.
I could see Nintendo keeping the Wii around for a long time even after Wii 2/Super Wii (whatever) comes out as an entry level platform for new players for $99.99 or less.
100 million+ is probably in the bag at this point. They're already past 40 million without a single price drop.
What, again? Of course it will! It's trending much higher than the PS2 for this time in its' life, supply can barely keep up with demand, and as the PS360 fanboys like to point out, there's been a lack of quality games for most of this year.
So, if demand WERE to ever start dropping, they could always:
-Introduce a new colour
-Introduce a hardware revision
-"Get some games", since it apparently doesn't have any (anyone seen next year's lineup? It looks awesome!)
-Price drop
So yeah, it's not a matter of 'if', but 'when'.
Hard to say from a ps guy but if the wii does't slow down dramatically by the end of 09 or halfway through 2010 then yes it well buy alot if we see sales start to dry up at those times then it well b close
i still don't get why it's selling so good ![]()

Play Me
Instinctively I would say no, but then considering that the Wii has yet to experience a price cut (imagine what its sales will be when it [profitably] drops to £99/$99) and presumably has the majority of its AAA titles still to come... maybe.
no, there will never be a generation like the PS1 or PS2 generation ever again, things have changed, but I suppose for the better.
