Every console from Nintendo that was the market leading console lasted 7+ years. Wii will be no different and will probably be its longest selling console since the NES. Also the fact that the Wii is tracking way above the PS2, it wouldn't need nearly as long as some ppl are claiming for the Wii to take the PS2's crown. Like I've said, its just a matter of when.



Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:


If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

The obvious answer to the thread is that it depends on how long Nintendo supports the Wii.

 Very much so, no offense, but the Wii has bucked every trend that any other console has ever had, third holiday in and no price drops and yet its still selling faster than any other console in history, its already passed the sales of GCN, N64 and PSP, and is bearing down on the SNES and still no evidence that it will slow down any time soon.

 Even if it does, all Nintendo has to do is announce a price drop, or a new color
