| Snake said: 1.Nintendo never had a console which had lifespan more than 8 years (maybe GameBoy and NES) 2.Tell me please, what makes you think Wii will outsell PS2? Just because it had better 2 better years than PS2? First 3 years are always easy. Sega Dreamcast had the best first year back then and it had more than 50% of the market, and what happened to Dreamcast? The same will happen to Wii. Wii MIGHT outsell PS1 but it could NEVER outsell PS2. Wii has sold for its 2 years 45 million systems. Let's say it will sell 45 million in next 2 years (probably won't happened) that would be 90 million systems. And lets say it would sell 45 million two years after that(won't happened for sure) it would be 135 million systems. And let's say PS2 would sell 10 million systems in those 4 years. IT WOULD BE LIKE THIS: Wii:135 million systems sold. PS2:155 million systems sold. 3. I admit i made a mistake about GTA series and wii games i just checked Wikipedia 4.i was replaying to this guy who sad this:''Lifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 LOL!!! In 2015 will be 9th generation of video game consoles. you must be a BIG wii fanboy when you believe wii will last three generations |
First off NES lasted 10 years in NA, 20 in Japan
PS2 is at 123 million at the moment, even if PS2 sells another 10 million, which is not going to happen, it will be at 133 million, which Wii will beat, duh
The end of 2015 is 7 years away, that will only be one generation at most, the next generation won't start until 2011-2012 at the earliest and the next Nintendo system won't be out until 2012-2013 at the earliest
Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
