Easily, Wii sells at a faster rate then PS2 did, it's much more popular in the media, and it's a product that everyone wants. PS2 sales are slowly dying and Wii has it's best sales in 2009/10. Wii can sell 150-160 mln.

1. Ps2 is "only" at 123M sold. There are 140M Ps2's produced and a slightly lower number shipped. What this site tracks is sold so 123M is the current number.

2. By the end of this year, the Wii will have 45-46M. That means it is "only" 80 million behind.

3. I still don't expect the Wii to catch up to the Ps2 in the next 3 years (up untill start of 2012), as I see it selling ~ 80M, and the Ps2 selling 15-16M at least. (Meaning that the Wii will be at ~ 125M, and Ps2 at ~ 140M).

4. I do, however, that the Wii will catch up to the Ps2 at some point, possibly in 2012, but not before.

5. I recommened practicing a bit on your spelling. If you keep spelling like that, you're not going to get any constructive responses, but rather just mean/insulting comments.

6. Check your facts before you post. It will let you make a far better argument, and might even change your conclusion. It may sound boring, but it's really very fun (or I'm just insanely odd).

I don't know if it will outsell the PS2 but I do think that it will pass 100 million. Wii sales aren't drying up anytime soon.
