Forums - Nintendo - Will we see an Infinity Ward COD on the wii?

How come this became multiplatform profit right now? I doubt 3rd parties will make a profit if one game sells more in another platform and bomb in another that makes no sense... Unless both platforms are the same only different names.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

i did my part and baught it, did u do ur part? :)

I think we dont even need to do our part, 3rd parties still keeps ignoring the Wii even how much we convinced them. What we must do was to wait and see how it unravels. Cant wait till 2009 and 3rd parties kneel to their knees :)

WTH?? If  games won't sell that well because of Wii owners not buying Wii versions and the sales are very minor as apposed to an HD version then do you really expect more Wii multiplats in the long run???

OT: The platforms for the game haven't been announced????

Im expecting the growing huge userbase and shrinking HD consoles will catch up to them. Im not saying 3rd parties will not make games on HD consoles but I say they'll not ignore the Wii either.

If any of the versions didn't sell well, that would likely get in the way of a next one. But so far, that just seems to apply to the DS and PS2 versions. The Wii version is still selling, so it's making money.

As for the multiplatform cost, that model has been done for years. Why is it so hard to believe now?

Infinity ward would be stupid not to release a wii version, even considering waw sales

Because when you say multiplatforms that includes PC and the HD console versions? Though you did say the DS, the PS- OH WAIT! The Ps2 version was a different game altogether, its not the part of the main title its a different game.

Seeing the sales of WAW on the wii after 5 weeks, i think this is a nope.

Also, this is a little bit of topic but...
Is there any graphical difference between the Wii and PS2 versions of world at war?

The PS2 version was a different game like QoS PS2 version. I just seen it in youtube and its definitely different...

The thing is that in mutliplatform releases, a team is given a budget to make all versions they are working on (versions by different teams have their own budget). Thus the sales of the entire release set is used to determine if the set makes money. If one version sells poorly, that is reason to consider not doing it next time, even if the set makes money.

But since the Wii version is still selling, it's not selling poorly.

ta very much

The DS version was different as well, but that still doesn't mean the costs were separate.
