The thing is that in mutliplatform releases, a team is given a budget to make all versions they are working on (versions by different teams have their own budget). Thus the sales of the entire release set is used to determine if the set makes money. If one version sells poorly, that is reason to consider not doing it next time, even if the set makes money.
But since the Wii version is still selling, it's not selling poorly.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
