Forums - Sony Discussion - Do some people really still think that Little Big Planet didnt sell well?

Well, LBP will probably the best selling PS3 titlte for this week, or the second one, so if you consider that there are no big releases ww for a while, it should keep that way. So the question is, is this the PS3 evergreen? If so, it wiil live to it´s hype and reach MGS4, MotorStorm and Ucharted numbers LTD, eventually. Not bad for a flop.

This word says everything.
Nothing to be proud of.

PS4 Preordered - 06/11/2013 @09:30am

XBox One Preordered - 06/19/2013 @07:57pm

"I don't trust #XboxOne & #Kinect 2.0, it's always connected" as you tweet from your smartphone - irony 0_o

its just that people made it seem like it would have sold a lot (millions its first week)

LBP is a big reason fanboys should shut the hell up. The J man would have enjoyed the game alot more if people didnt hype it too much and treat it like the second coming of jesus.

People actually thought this was going to beat fable 2 in sales but we all know how that went.

Unfortuantly this wont be stopped so whats the next game that will be 'huge' so that the J man can brace himself for fanboys eating their words?

It isn't on par with the marketing measures for the game, it is good otherwise. Also I wonder how much of others this week was bundles only.

SONY's expectations were that of GT5P... so its most likely above it.

Killzone 2, The Conduit, Madworld...I can continue, if you want.

It's having very strong legs in Others week 6 sales are 118k when it sold 500k in the first 5 week combined...

The way it's going it will reach 2 million units sometime in Q1 and has a far shot at reaching 3 millions lifetime..

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Scratch MadWorld from that list. The last time we had a thread asking people if they were going to buy it, something like 60-70% said no because it looked shallow or was too violent.

I think i predicted around 3-4 milllion which isn't a bad guess IMO.

LBP will proly have lifetime sales of 2-3.5 million .

Does it matter if it is sold in a bundle? I fail to see why it would cast LBP sales in a negative light. If people are buying a PS3 with LBP bundled in, it may very well imply that people are buying a PS3 for LBP, or at the very least suggest that new PS3 owners think that it's a great game to pick up along with their PS3. How is any of that negative?

Also, you don't know how many bundled copies of LBP have sold, and therefore its contribution to total LBP sales.

Next time you are going to make a post based on an assumption at least try to make it logical and coherent. Surely for a 27 year old you'd have something a little bit more substantial and reasoned to say than just it is "nothing to be proud of". lol
