Only 7 weeks left in the year and it needs about 5.62 mil to achieve that when in the same time period last year it did 4.38 mil and from the looks of it the 360 will be down YoY or goes flat at the very best.

Actually, my hardware predictions for this year aren't half bad compared to last year. The 360 is a little lowballed (it'll be close though) and the PS3 will be decently guessed but the Wii is way overshot though and my prediction was extremely modest for this year compared to most others... I remember almost everyone not predicting 75 million or more nearly getting mocked back in january.

Both the PSP and the DS are overshot as well, I guess the handhelds haven't "held up to" my expectations!

For 2, check the numbers, slim launch week was adjusted up. Not quite 600k but it's so close it's within margin of error. I'd say semi-success.

Actually this is past the point last year where I made the quoted 2009 predictions.
