If a PS4 comes out, it will have to be based on a totally different strategy from their previous consoles. Their strategy is based on them biggest the richest player, which isn't true any more.
SCE will either disappear or change radically before the next generation starts. Otherwise they're ensuring failure (unless their competitors screw up bad).

If Sony release a ps4 without bluray they are telling the world bluray failed, exactly the wrong image they want to put out

Here's hoping for radical change.
Prediction:
Blu-Ray powered Apple Ibox coming from the Blu-Ray Consortium to replace the Sony PS3 next time out and with Apple's brand loyalty and exclusive backing from all of Sony's studios it will rock like the PS3 hasn't been able to.

The big 3 always deny, deny, deny, so regardless of whether or not they are developing a PS4 now this is what they would say.
Honestly I hate news stories like this. Do you really have to report a non-announcement? can we please just leave the news to announcements that they ARE making something?

I cant find the exact asite where it was a few game developers talking about the hardware and how the new cells would use less blu ray and more download.
