I agree with Leo-j actually (even though I think he was joking). Change the art style, instead of straight cel-shading go for the Galaxy type of not-real looking/not quite cel-shaded but gorgeous.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Don't you guys feel screwed that they still never released the original Zelda that was going to come out for the GC, it had amazing graphics and we still never saw the finished version of that game. They canceled the normal Zelda and made the cel one then they waited for the wii to come out before they realeased the next one that looks like N64 graphics.

Zelda on the wii was godawful compared to the GC version, all the wii controls just felt added on at the last second and made the game unplayable.

Warlord - that demo was along the lines of PS3's Killzone trailer...

You're talking bullshit.

First, there is no "original" Gamecube Zelda. All there is is a demo they created for an event (I don't remember, was it TGS?) but Miyamoto later stated that this demo was that this demo only existed because they wanted to show something about Zelda, but they had not started to work at the game.

Second, if you think TP has N64 like graphics, I really want to see your N64 because it must be unique and way superior to the normal ones in terms of graphics.

Third, I know that one can have a different opinion about something like the TP controls, but they were hardly "unplayable".

The Wii controls actually made that version superior to the GameCube's - aiming projectile weapons especially was far easier, and being able to use the spin attack with no warm-up was great.

I'm shocked anyone who plays TP would say the Zelda series isn't putting enough emphasis on story.

That said, the art style would be nice if it was about the same as TP. Very earthy, very realistic.

Some subjects that would make interesting Zelda games:
The Hylian War (prequel to Ocarina of Time)
The Great Flood (distant prequel to The Wind Waker)
The Imprisoning War
Flood's End (distant sequel to The Wind Waker / distant prequel to A Link to the Past)

Well the overall Story is ok, but after the fourth dungeon, it's just like you go to Hyrule and they tell you were to go next. I'd wish that to be a little more RPGish, you meet somebody and he gives you hints, and you may visit multiple towns.

For your possible subjects, I'd love to play Flood's End. You start in a Wind Waker world and for some reason, the water disappears during the game and you see the actual Hyrule again.
The Problem is that such events are only mentioned to explain the Story of a game and each game creates new events instead of clearing up.

The same goes for the timeline, this is a thing only fanboys are interested in, while developers don't care all that much about it. However, I am a fanboy and I've always wondered about the timeline, so let's try to put it together:

I think it goes:

1. The Legend of Zelda

2. The Adventure of Link (direct sequel)

3. The Ocarina of Time

4. Majora's Mask (direct sequel)

5. The Wind Waker

6. Phantom Hourglass (direct sequel)

7. Twilight Princess

8. A Link to the Past

9. Link's Awakening (direct sequel)

I don't really know where to put Oracle of Ages/Seasons and Minish Cap. Minish Cap could be put almost everywhere after 2, except inbetween 5 and 6. The Oracle games are more difficult, because the Link starring in those games already had adventures before the events in those games happen, so it also is a direct prequel. Because of that, I'd most likely put it at position 3.

What do you think about that timeline? Am I missing something?

There are a few "chunks" of the timeline, some of it gets confusing.  So far, the most agreed upon SINGULAR timeline goes as thus:

1. Ocarina of Time (Ganondorf's first chronological appearance) - Link #1
2. Majora's Mask (direct sequel)
3. Twilight Princess (said to occur a while after OoT, but before WW by the creators) Link #2
4. The Wind Waker (Last time Ganondorf retains human form) Link #3
5. The Phantom Hourglass (direct sequel)
6. A Link to the Past (references Ganon being sealed long ago) Link #4
7. Link's Awakening (direct sequel)

F1. The Minish Cap - Link #F1
F2. Four Swords - Link #F2
F3. Four Swords Adventures - Link #F3

Games in unknown places:

The Legend of Zelda - Link #5?
The Adventure of Link (direct sequel)
Oracle of Seasons & Ages (involves Twinrova, probably related to OoT) - most likely Link #1

If we go with the multiple timeline theory, the timeline splits after OoT.

Timeline 1 (Ganondorf is imprisoned before the events of "Seven Years Later" can occur)
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask (?)
Twilight Princess
The Wind Waker

Timeline 2 (Ganon is sealed in the Dark Realm)
Ocarina of Time
Oracle of Seasons & Ages (?)
Majora's Mask (?)
A Link to the Past

I forget, if OoT is the first, at what point in the game/storyline did Link get his trademark green shirt?

I only remember in TP the spirit gave him the clothes saying its the historic garb but I don't remember how he got it in OoT.

Puzzles are OK. More longer and harder dungeons and strong bosses and enemies. And better music. TP's music sucked so hard. Where's Koji Kondo when you need him? And a "jump" button!

 Jesus, I disagree 100%.

How can you say that TP's music sucked hard? I thought it was absolutely gorgeous, the way it contained countless pieces and references to classic melodies and themes... And I loved the darker technoid vibes, I never thought that would work with a "medieval" game like Zelda, but it did.

More and longer and harder dungeons? Why do people keep demanding only that? IMO, one of the biggest improvements of the recent Zelda games is that dungeons are no longer completely separated from the overworld and the story (take the Ice Temple in TP). That's one thing I'd like to see even more.

Please, more side stories! Actually, I prefer side stories to dungeons. That's why Majoras Mask is one of my favourite games, and it's a shame that Nintendo's will to innovate wasn't rewarded back then.

He was with the Kokiri (although a Hyrulean) and they all wear green.

The split time line was done by Gametrailers.

They don't account for TP, since this was made before they had a chance to see it, but they do seem to have thought it out. They explain where they think each game goes and their reasoning for putting it there.
