I don't see what there is to be mad about, World of Goo is a fantastic game that any non-Wii owner should be jealous of. I see no reason that it must be part of some kind of conspiracy, instead of just an award that WoG won fair and square and fully deserved in every sense of the word.

It deserves it, I think it is the wii game of the year, frankly I'd give it game of the year, I liked it more than anything else, even Gears 2, Brawl, and Castlevania OoE
the art, the gameplay, the story, and the music are all as good as possible, plus the world of goo corp never ends
It is good to see the game that truly deserved the title of game of the year win it,
Plus winning might move some downloads, brawl doesn't need help in sales, world of goo does, and don't forget it saw retail release in Europe

Brawl is Better.... there's no "and's", "if's", or "but's" about it... I've played World of Goo many times... but at no point did I have more fun then playing SSBB, MK:Wii, NmH, or Boom Blox.

IGN has been pretty messed up with their reviews lately, and hasn't been putting much effort into Wii Reviews (Wii Music), but this takes the cake!

Why do you assume were mad because a mario game didn't win? We just don't think that it deserves GotY, where as SSBB, MK:Wii, and NmH do deserve it.... the fact that mario is in it has nothing to do with it being a better game! As far as im concerned, this post is just flamebait, nothing more.

Yes, I have played both SSBB and kart. Propably more than 5 minutes of them, too!
