But what I'm basically saying is the following; Keep the other 5% that DID actually buy a Cube last-gen also in mind please! There were 21 million, still something to consider when putting out only rehashed Cube games! And 1 new Nintendo game wouldn't have killed of the whole 3rd-party line-up so that argument doesn't hold too much ground as well! Cuzz I'm willing to bet something like Fire Emblem won't stand in the way of sales for MadWorld, Sonic or Kororinpa or something!

Oh; And for the Q1 line-up for Microsoft and Sony from their 1st and 2nd parties:

Microsoft: Halo Wars, Alan Wake.

Sony: Killzone 2.

 

I.m.h.o a little better then a 2001 and a 2005 Cube port with an extra level, 2 extra options and waggle controlls!

 

And seriously; For all the people that seem to claim that I was dissing 3rd-parties... I NEVER did! I'm actually looking forward to Tales of Symph 2 and MadWorld!

I think you've missed my post way down on the first page. I said that Q1 2004 for the Gamecube, a comparable time period, was worse.

 

 Might've been so! But better then to try to fill that gap with ports of N64 games with dual analog controlls and rumble support! That's basically the same! And yes, that WOULD have been a disgrace! Also, Cube was already on its way downhill pretty big in 2004... Wii has the best period for a console EVER! And Q1 09 will pretty much be in-line with what it did last year, so pretty good hw sales!

That doesn't make it any less 1st party though. I thought you were giving it as a Q1 3rd party example, I was surprised cause I didn't see the date.

Anyway, you keep ignoring all my statements as well, about the fact that Sony has +1 and Microsoft +2 games in Q1. It's not that much different, definitely not enough to warrant your rant. Sure these games are bigger than two Gamecube ports, but I didn't hear you complain about Sony's and MS's releases when Mario Kart and Smash Bros released in the same quarter. Let alone the fact that there are easily 5 3rd party quality games in Q1.

Too Human, Haze and Lair were pretty promising because those devs had a good back-catalog of AA games produced! Sadly, they didn't live up to the hype around them but you can't say Sony and Microsoft at least TRIED to counter the momentum!

As for the comparison: I already played the 2 Cube games and there are a number of people who've already played them half a decade ago too! I'm just saying it wouldn't have been SUCH a pain for Nintendo te release at least 1 fucking game that would be new for EVERYONE! Not just for the people that Didn't own a Cube and are new to gaming! Or didn't play Pikmin! Get what I'm saying?! They shouldn't ignore the fact that THERE ARE ACTUALLY a Few people who've already played that game!

There's a significant difference between N64 to GC ports and GC to Wii ports, the latter actually adds something to the gameplay. The GC was still doing pretty good in 2004, it only started to get really bad from the second half of 2005 onwards. Don't rewrite history just to suit your lousy argument. I have to admit though that your Mario Kart Wii and SSBB bashing thread was much worse than this one.

 

 When did I bash MKWii and Brawl?! I actually bested you in the timetrials in MkWii ... That means I actually Put some time in the game and enjoyed it! But ýour taking it off-topic!

Only thing that you might mean is the graphical gap between N64-GC and the LACK of the change in graphics between Cube-Wii... Which could ALSO be used as an argument for my case! Instead of yours, but it's just the way you interpret that!

EDIT 2: Austria is a beautiful country! Love the mountains and the nature there! Have you ever been in The Netherlands? Only flat... It sucks! I wanna go back to the mountains

Starcraft: I get your point, I just don't get why you must play a Nintendo published game so badly while there're great 3rd party games at the same time. Sure I would have loved to have Fatal Frame, to complete my horror quarter with RE5, but other than that it looks like I'll be buying around 8 games in Q1 (sick).

Wii: House of the Dead: Overkill, MadWorld, Little King Story and if good Broken Sword (one of the best point & click adventures ever).
DS: Chrono Trigger and Suikoden
360: RE5 and Alan Wake

Ah shit! A ghost of the past that haunts me! I knew you'd go and search that thread with my reaction! Shiiit! Total failure for me!... Oh, and I'm picking up Killzone 2 for the PS3 and Resident Evil 5. For Wii MadWorld and House of the Dead: Overkill! Not Pikmin, bought that game 7 years ago! But ye, what a trainwreck, that old thread! I totally got owned there! This time I actually try to put up a fight ^^!
