I always though handhelds are included in those? Its 215m already with them though.

There's 3 different terms here.

1. Consoles. Ps3/X360/Wii/NES/SNES/Genesis/Xbox/Gamecube/Ps2 etc...

2. Handhelds. GB,GBC,GBA,DS,PsP etc...

3. Video game machines / hardware. That is 1 and 2.

 

So consoles should be ~ 250M

Handhelds should be ~ 275M

Total should be ~ 500-550M

to me

PS3 = 70M
360 = 50M
WII = 105M

Here is my prediction:

Wii: 150-160 million
PS3: 75-80 million
360: 65-70 million

For a low end of 290 million and a high end of 310 million.

This is the prediction when reality plays a factor.

What? How on Earth can the PS3 stop at 35 million? It'll be at 19.5 million by year end, and will have sold over 10 million units in 2008. Even if the PS3 sees NO rise in sales at all (not happening), that's another 40 million for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, which puts the PS3 at 60 million.

Lol, I do believe it will sell around 45-50m though. Not much more unless they price-cut "soon".
