By the way zexen: how on earth have you kept track of all of this? It's an amazing help for my upcoming The Year That Was editorials, I can tell you that!

I'm glad it'll be of some help. Yeah, keeping track wasn't much trouble, a Google Docs spreadsheet came in pretty handy, all I had to do is throw the votes there. The hard part (and the reason it took us so long to post this) was counting all the votes

You haven't answered how NPD November got in there without being nominated.

I nominated it, skeezer did too (since I could change my votes, I thought it was a news too important to leave it out, so I added it before closing it), and since there was a lack of nominees, if we had left it out, we wouldn't have any other to replace it, since everyone was voting either for FFXIII 360 or DSi, so, instead of having only 4 nominees, we thought it'd be better to add one and make it 5.

Same reason as we dropped the "week of the year (news)", everyone was nominating E3 and we didn't have any other candidate (one vote for Ubidays and one for the Nintendo october conference). Heck, no one even nominated TGS week, so we dropped the category altogether
