so how was the mysterious figure introduced

He doesn't have a very exuberant introduction. Terra/Ven/Aqua appear on The Land of Departure and while they're walking in the summit, the Mysterious Figure just appears and challenges him/her without saying a word.

And when he loses, he just phases out of existence, like he's moving into another place in time.

This fight is all too similar to the fight in KH:FM, where Sora faces an Unknown hooded character who also doesn't say a word when he appears/disappears, which was later revealed to be Xenmas, in KH2.

So probably, KH:BBS's Mysterious Figure also has a rather large importance to KH lore in future games.

he certainly lives up to his  name

He does indeed, it bugs me to no end that we will have to wait a couple of years to know more xD. I don't expect to see a new KH (lore wise, since both Coded and KH 3DS are set on the time frame of KH1) in the next 3-4 years.

I beat dragon quest V ds last amamaamamamamamamazing

and now I'm playing Kingdom Hearts 2. For whatever reason, I didn't really enjoy KH1. but I'm enjoying KH2 a lot thus far.!

And don't beat games all the way, especially on my first play through, if I like the game enough sometimes I'll do the esxta stuff on later paythroughs like lestatdark... The only ones I've beaten Was FFXIII (though not all achievements), FFVIII, FFV, FFX-2 Fallout 3, Kotor II and. The NA version of FFX (Much easier than PAL or international)

I'm going to get Fallout New Vegas After I beat this :P

I'm playing KH2 as well (although the Final Mix version on my emulator). I like the battle system of KH2 a lot more than in KH1, but story-wise I always felt that KH1 did a better job than KH1.

Though KH:BBS explains thing better than both games combined XD

Well, yeah, that's why I'm not sure if I like the story more  or I just like the other parts more so thus I'm more interested in the story (maybe that doesnt' make sense). I don't really remember the story that much in KH1 because my brother bought it for me for christmas right when it came out. I beat it and I never played it since.

But the combat's more fun in KH2 imo and amazing to look at (on emulator). And the Gummi Ship is more fun too... and Donald and Goofy are still really funny to me.

I wasn't going to get birth by sleep, but I found KH2 cheap at a game store, where (BBS is not) and was surprised. I'm nowgoing to get birth by sleep in a few months.  Maybe I'd like KH1 more if I played it again.

What does s KH2: FM have that KH2 doesn't? Extra bosses like FF international?

There have been some theories going around in KH related sites. One of the most mentioned theories is that it's somehow connected to Luxord, since Luxord also had the ability to manipulate time.

Another theory is that the Mysterious Figure is actually a complete form (when both a Heartless, Nobody and Lingering Spirit are combined) from either Xehanort or even Eraqus.

Heck, there are even theories that the Mysterious Figure is somehow related to DiZ as well xD.

The gummi ship stages in KH2 are awesome. Like they took the best parts out of Starfox and Gradius and combined them to make the ultimate Shoot 'm Up

KH2: Final Mix is like the ultimate version of KH2. It adds a Data Room, where you can fight every member of the Organization XIII, included those that only appeared in Chain of Memories. It adds a new form, Limit Form. It adds a lot of new cutscenes, like the complete Deep Dive sequence, explaining exactly how Riku defeated Roxas. It adds the actual fight of Sora vs Roxas in the World That Never Was, instead of it being a simple cutscene. There's also new keyblades, abilities, new objectives in the gummi ship scenarios. It also adds new quests, like the Organization XIII mushrooms, Puzzle Pieces, etc.

that's a lot! I don't really feel like restarting though. Maybe I'll come back to it in a while and play it again on proud instead of normal and do the extras. Particularly in a few years  right before the next KH3 come out :P

That's a lot of extra's seems significantly more than FF:Internationals (speaking of which, do you know if theres a way to get english subtitles for FFX-2 last mission? I couldn't find any patches but you seem better at this :P

I know Final Mix has English Voices and the menus you can get a patch for... are the extras in Japanese or english voices>

I haven't searched for Last Mission patches, mainly because I'm still waiting for the Iso download to end I'll make sure to link you if I find one

Yup, i'm playing KH2:FM with a menu patch, but it has a somewhat annoying bug, since it crashes if you open a chest and then open the Pause menu directly afterwards.  You have to save the game and reload it to open up the menu.

The extra cutscenes are in japanese voice with japanese subtitles, but the patch creator is working in translating the subtitles into english, though it seems to be taking a while. There are a lot of Final Mix scripts translated to english, especially on Gamefaqs though, so i'm using those to help me understand the extra cutscenes.

I just started up Persona 3 Portable recently. So far, so good. I haven't got to the dating sim elements yet. I'm still in the first month (April). The turn-based dungeon crawling side to the game (in Tartarus at night) is solid and with the story being set in modern day Japan it's not as boring and played out (for me anyway) like the typical jrpg story. I like that the game is challenging without being too punishing. I heard horror stories about the Persona games in terms of how punishing they are but it doesn't seem that way considering that you have opportunities to leave the dungeon and re-enter quite conveniently (the entrance portals) if you want to save or heal up.

Also finished Fable III recently. Two playthroughs in about a week. The fun in Fable III, much like Fable II, is mostly to be had outside of combat. If you go into Fable II or III expecting solid combat, you will be dissapointed. Fable II and III were quite enjoyable for me because I really appreciate the sandbox aspect to these games.

will start fable 2 and fable 3, after i finish up on soulcalibur 4 and infinite undiscovery . had to restart them on my new gamertag, since i lost the password for my previous gamertag. its ok though since i love those games.
