I just started up Persona 3 Portable recently. So far, so good. I haven't got to the dating sim elements yet. I'm still in the first month (April). The turn-based dungeon crawling side to the game (in Tartarus at night) is solid and with the story being set in modern day Japan it's not as boring and played out (for me anyway) like the typical jrpg story. I like that the game is challenging without being too punishing. I heard horror stories about the Persona games in terms of how punishing they are but it doesn't seem that way considering that you have opportunities to leave the dungeon and re-enter quite conveniently (the entrance portals) if you want to save or heal up.
Also finished Fable III recently. Two playthroughs in about a week. The fun in Fable III, much like Fable II, is mostly to be had outside of combat. If you go into Fable II or III expecting solid combat, you will be dissapointed. Fable II and III were quite enjoyable for me because I really appreciate the sandbox aspect to these games.
