 I tried when I plugged in my keyboard (since my mouse was right next to it) and no luck. Perhaps with a seperate mouse as both my keys and mouse use the same bluetooth adapter.

Ehm why do you think we've got a remote for? Can't think of a better mouse for the WII to be honest.

Nobody but me is going to care about this, but...

The parental password used to be plain text as you entered it when you went into the system setup (eg, WiiConnect24, Internet, etc). This has now been masked with the update. Thank you, Nintendo, for doing what should have been done long ago. (it was being masked when you entered it other places, but not here)

And with the keyboard entry, I will no longer have to send my kids out of the room when I enter the pin (as long as I do it via keyboard).

It says "communication", which doesn't mean that it's VoIP. It can mean even the message board. But, definately a great feature, which is must have, if you can chat with VoIP. @JMan: You were wrong, at least i do care. Parental control doesn't really have anything to do, if you can just check the password. My kids can't yet read, but before the next gen arrives, my oldest kid can read.

you are not a parent and basically make and example of exactly what I am talking about. My dislike of voip has two problems.

1. If my kid has to hear people that can't speak without being vulgar. You example proves my point, you said you and your buddies do that on purpose.

2. I don't want to hear some twelve year old call me a bitch when they shoot me. It's just kinda annoying. One of the most annoying games of Battlefield 2 I played was when our commander was a 12 year old. God it is annoying to take orders from some little preteen cracking voice or hear him tell you off.

plus, in most scenarios when someone types vulgar language they get kicked.

Or, they leave the room very quick in fear they will hear. It's like... Better than a 'ignore' button Halo3 has. It's a 'Goodbye' voice command! And on that point. I can just as easily type F*** as I can say it. I promise you, I can type at around 80wpm. I can type as fast as I can talk, but the main diffrence is, I cuss more when I type than when I talk. Oh yeah, and for those of you who are thinking 'you play with your teenager buddies'. I race with 2 people over 50 almost every day, 2 in their 40's 2 in their 20's and one 16 year old, that I love to get in trouble displaying obscene pictures in chat with him. (I love them all, but I cant help myself sometimes being mean)

 Honestly I find the 20-year-olds who just swear and bitch more annoying than a whiny 12-year-old.

I'm with you there King.

I find that swearing often proves to be a poor expression of emotion ( read: Stupid. )

Truth is, if you want to tear someone down with your words, you won't be cursing them out these days. It's much more potent to  eloquently disembowel someone with your pithy comments and intelligence.

But in all seriousness, I find little 12 year olds –hilarious– when they curse. I know it sounds bad, but when they use terms wrong in attempts to be cool hilarity ensues: “Shut up you Hell Damn!” XD

 

 

I can't tell you how much fun it is to get people banned by calmly arguing with them to the point where they can't come up with a valid opinion and feel the need to swear up a storm thinking it makes their opinion better. Just because something is 18&up doesn't mean swearing and racial slurs are automatically allowed and if I came across people who thought it was cool to do that, I'd report them without a second thought.
