In almost every sales related thread, the subject of a possible PS3 price cut for 2009 pops up. Here is a poll to see how the opinions are distributed.

EDIT - Vote for the option corresponding to the earliest price cut. For example if you think Q1 in Europe and Q2 in America, vote Q1.

Maybe Q1 but Q2 is more likely. They said they would start to become more aggressive after they break even, which I think they plan to do by March.

Q3 is my bet. I think Q2 is too soon, and Q4 is just too late.

I think it will happen first in Europe by march than in Us and Japan q4.

If Sony are planning a price cut in Q1, they should have had a price cut this November instead. I think Q3 is most likely.

I voted Q4, which is the earliest I see them being profitable enough to cut prices. It's also good timing to generate holiday hype.
