Forums - Gaming - Dragon Quest X officially announced for Wii

I don't belive this rumor. DQ is a PlayStation game, and it'll stay that way.

Does this mean nobody will go crazy if FFXIV doesn't go HD?

Phew!

I think Square Enix said they'd stop at the "XIII Series" After that they'd switch to a new "Final Fantasy surpasser" series, and if this is true it may very well be a Nintendo exclusive title.

Although if they lied then the seraphims themselves would desend from the skies of heaven to rain down chaos on nintendo for such blasphemy. :P

Fabula Nova Crystallis is actually a 10-years project. Three already announced games are only the beginning, SE said there will be many other FNC titles on different platforms in future.

10 years huh? impressive i didnt know that.

Major bummer. I was hoping we'd see the DQ series finally jump past the PS2 benchmarks.

I understand peoples dissapointment, but it doesn't justify trolling. Youre warned.

Great news for me. Dragon Quest confirm to be released on the most popular system once again.

Ahh right.  I forgot that opinions only matter when you're agreeing with the majority.

Wii ftw.

It's all about the game.

Heh no stating that it won't push past "PS2 benchmarks" as truth is trolling, and pushing it like that could also be trolling so I'd say just quit while you're ahead.

you know.. You gotta wonder, the way the japanese are about loyalty and such, is it possible that the reason that 360 jrpgs sucked is because SE basically took that money and ran, so to say. You would never know with them... lol

Way to generalise an entire race of people.

That photo does look like SE and Nintendo are back together doesn't it. Good news, hopefully they get successfull again off the back of Nintendo and other third parties fall into line too.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
