That DQIX DSi looks like just an overlay, something attached to the device itself. The coloring does not vary between the models, only the background. So it probably won't cost several limbs to obtain one!

I hope it's just the clear protective case.

I instantly thought of you when I saw it.  I can't put my finger on why though.........

Nobody commented on it, so I'm wondering, is 5980 yen the normal price for DS games? That's equivalent to like, what, $65-70? (edit: says $64 on the site, silly me) That's insane!

I hope that doesn't damage its early selling power too much, I wanted to see record breaking numbers for its first week...

Well I know DQ 8 was 8800 yen, so that's cheap.

So if Square Enix is putting a game this big on the Wii, you've got to think they intend to release some other software on it too right?

I wonder what else SE has in the works for Wii

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Major bummer. I was hoping we'd see the DQ series finally jump past the PS2 benchmarks.

It's all about the game.

so im guessing this is big news?

Do not be a negative nancy, my man

Dragon Quest is, out of all JRPGs, the one least dependent on technological progression

It is as old-fashioned as they get

Wow, I guess this really does mean that the PS3 is doomed in Japan.

Though I'm not the biggest fan of the DQ series, this is big news for the Wii (the first new major 3rd party title I could see myself actually caring about on the Wii).

I guess 2010 or 2011 is when I will finally get a Wii.

Hopefully, it can use GC controls as an option.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
