that isnt fair to use that Gundam series. Of course that wins... heck the newer eps match Pixar's abilities.

Should have just used Gundam 00 since it has good animation for what it is.

Considering that your spelling is terrible, I don't really think you've got grounds to complain about things not being 100% accurately translated. Please learn to spell and distinguish between 'there' 'thier' and 'they're'

They're means they are, There means, it's over there, where something is, and thier, is a possessive, it's their

Plus, you're stupid comparing a feature movie to a weekly cartoon show. I'm guessing you've not see the Naruto Movies have you? The animation in it is far better than in the show, you know why? Because they've got a lot more time to spend on the movie.

It would be great if you just went and put a bucket over your head, thus preventing you from making any more ignorant posts.

*sighs*

I think you can't compare American vs Japanese animation really. The age themes are aimed at different audiences. For me, it's hard to ever top Akira, which I think is one of the greatest animation-style movies of all time. But, the Lion King has it's own appeal as well.

I think both styles have their use, so I enjoy both really.

Akira wins animation. With 2 Flawless Victories and a Fatalaty.

I watched it again (for the 100th time) a few weeks ago so that my wife could appreciate it's wonderment... she didn't get it.  Oh well, for myself, it shall always reign as king on my animation DVD shelf-section.  I remember watching that movie in my youth, the first time I ever smoked--ah never mind, you get the idea.

Naruto is probably the worst example of well drawn anime.

Also, you're comparing a movie (Which is what 2 hours) with a gazillion dollar budget (DIsney, remember?) to a anime that's at least 200 episodes long now (original and shippuden, or whatever it's called, I don't follow it anymore) from an anime studio.

The best drawn american cartoon SERIES that I've seen is Boondocks, and what'd you know, alot of it's art style and action sequences are heavily influenced from anime.

I personally enjoy American cartoons more (Transformers ftw!) but even then, the Japanese have always done it better.

Wasnt boondock made in a japanese studio? Anyone that can draw uncle ruckus is the greatest in the J mans books.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Why on Earth are you comparing a series that has to meet a tight budget and time restrictions to a cinematic feature?

Compare Spirited Away or something of that ilk if you want a "real" comparison. Either way, it's just fanboy ranting. Both countries produce fine animation if the budget allows it. Neither one has a real edge in either storytelling or technical bells and whistles. They're just different styles.

And before I get any anime freaks jumping on my back talking about how fabulous Japanese storytelling is compared to American, I have one word for you... Pixar.

Just because it's geared for kids along with adults doesn't mean that their works aren't masterpieces. In fact, one could argue that it's far more difficult to create a child-friendly story and make it good than it is to create one geared entirely for adults.

but pixars uses cartoon representations their incredibles structures are not really human same for the fat people in wall-e, japanese CGI its more certain to do a more realistic representations of humans in animation.

square have a good while doing it (spirit within, advent children), and pixar said it's something hard to archive.
