Yeah, they are laughing because they hate the fact that there is an independent group that watches sales numbers and produces mostly accurate results.  The game manufacturers used to be the end all of their own sales numbers.  They would claim that a game sold 2-million copies, and then they would never make a follow-up sequel... because the number actually sucked and they didn't want anyone to know.

That's why I have been coming to this sight for so long, because it doesn't have the same crap-numbers spewing from it.  It's non-biased and pretty darn accurate.

A company that is making huge losses and has to cut costs will buy a developer that makes its biggest money on the DS, which is not their platform and therefore will be worth much less the moment they acquire it?!?

To be fair, a lot of insiders scoff at vgchartz. Most other sites see vgchartz as not a credible source.

That would be illegal. Besides give me an example or 2 of that happening.

Sony can still afford them, but it would be wise to have SCEWWS way back in the black before thinking of doing so.

so sony keeps losing money for every ps3 sold, yet they'll buy Level 5. that doesn't make sense.
