Well, thats the bundle with all the accessories. I'm guessing there's going to be bundles with only one accessory for less than $100.

I know some people will get the game this way, but I when I think of this bundle I think "Hooray we can have a one man rock band!....just like guitar hero...."

I would never considering getting Rockband unless I was getting all of the instruments as well.

Lol, but how are you going to be able to play all of them simultaneously.

And as others have said, I'm guessing a flop as well. Guitar Hero III as the runaway winner.

Consoles I Own: NES, SNES, N64, GC, GBA, DS, X360, Wii

I see Rockband getting very popular if when they release the Wii version. They can use the remote's wireless for some of the cost (what was the ridiculous price of licensing wireless on the 360? like $20/peripheral or something?)

If they can cut out that part of the cost, I can see it being significantly cheaper... possibly closer to $100 for the whole set (although more likely $150)

Please, PLEASE do NOT feed the trolls.

You make a good point, but I still can't help but think the only difference between rock band and guitar hero is rock band lets you play with your friends as a band.  So if you don't have others who are interested in playing with you it is sort of a waste of money.

Until I decide to put together a band I don't see myself or anyone I know picking up this title, but that doesn't mean others won't.

If I am gonna make a prediction I think this game is going to have mild success and thats about it.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Maybe in some years, RockBand will be as big as GH. A release on Wii will surely help, for the people that would buy a console for it. Still, the value difference between $200 and 3 games and an accesory is to big.

The price point sound even more awful when you realize that you can get Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock and something else for the same price.

um yeah, but you can't play a guitar, the drums, bass, and sing in Halo 3 can you? HUH? CAN YOU?????

Yeah the costs for the items and the game are definitely too high. Hopefully they drop in price quickly.

Something about this game just rubs me the wrong way, I love and own GH, but something about 3 or 4 people pretending to play and sing music just seems weird to me, I don't know why though, b/c I would think I'd feel the same way about someone pretending to just play guitar, but I don't. Maybe it's all the extra peripherals filling up my living room or something, or maybe it was watching the MS E3 performance where Moore kept pausing the game. I don't know, I'll keep an eye on it, but it's not really on my radar for this year unless it turns out to be amazing.

Currently Playing:  Saints Row 2 | Battlefield 2 | Company of Heroes

Recently Beaten: Gears of War | Super Mario Galaxy | Darwinia | MGS4 | Sam and Max Ep. 4, Portal | Mirror's Edge | Uncharted | Mass Effect

Looking Forward to: Alan Wake | Splinter Cell : Conviction | The Last Guardian | Batman: Arkham Asylum | SMG2 | Mass Effect 2 |

I know what you mean... I feel the same way.  It just seems overdone.  Guitar hero is different.  It's fun and challenging, but you aren't REALLY pretending to be playing the music.  Pretending to have a band with your friends seems kinda... dumb.  Anyway, I don't think Harmonix has anything to fear from Rock Band.  The pricing is just way too high for it to be much competition to Guitar Hero.

Oh, something just hit me. I think I might have figured out one reason why this won't be released on the Wii simultaneously as the others. It is pretty obvious, so I don't know why I didn't notice.

They are really pushing DLC in this game, with entire albums added from the start, and new stuff added weekly. How would Wii owners take advantage of this? Even if they did put it on their SD card, it is not like that thing is a hard drive and could function as dynamically as a hard drive. Maybe they are figuring up a solution. I am sure they would still make a lot of money if it was released on Wii, but maybe this is why they haven't been pushing the Wii version.

DLC = money. Just my two cents.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I know this sounds gay but is singstar a good game?
