.hack// is a series of four games. The same story continues over all four games, so you would have to play all four to get the whole story. You play as someone who is playing a MMORPG (a little confusing, you don't actually interact with other real people, the game just simulates the MMO experience). A computer virus causes strange things to happen in the real world and game world.

I never played it personally, but I had a friend who did. He is a completist, so he played through all four games. He said it was the worst gaming experience he had every had in his life. He was actually hoping that something would happen to his save file so that he could have an excuse to himself to quit playing.

He said that the concept is interesting, but the game just isn't fun. By the way, this person is someone who plays WoW, so he likes MMOs.  He also put in over 200 hours into FFX and loved that game.

I did play Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I would not recommend it. It is not like a regular RPG at all. Does not even come close to living up to the FF name in my opinion.

FFX-2 is complete garbage. It's somewhere along the level of FF: Mystic Quest for the SNES.

FFCC for the Gamecube isn't bad if you have three friends to play it with, otherwise don't waste your time.

As for what one you should get: FFVI, preferably for the GBA and then go ahead and pick Chrono Trigger DS while you're at it (you can get both of those for the PS1 and play them on your Ps2 but they are the worst versions of both games).

this guy said x-2 sucks wow

Xenosaga is a great game, well the first episode anyway. 2nd one I couldn't get through, but I hear the third is great so maybe I'll slog through it one day.

FFX-2 is another one I never finished, I don't recommend it unless you really love girly stuff....and I mean really love.

.hack is ok, but gets tiresome doing the same thing over and over again for so many games.

Out of the list, I would recommend Xenosaga if you want an awesome Turn-based game, and Dark Cloud if you want a great action RPG.

...

Suikoden III and V are two of the best RPGs of the PS2. Get those ASAP. The Xenosaga trilogy is excellent also, but your priority should be Suikoden

That guy says a lot of games sucks......   I wonder how that guy Ghostbuster game will be.

From that list I think you should either pick up dark cloud 2 or xenosage. If you saw suikoden 3 or 5 go for it. If you saw 4 or Tactics, I guess avoid it.

I wouldn't say avoid it, they are good games, but they are the weakest of the series by far. They shouyld be played after you know you love the series.

Well it is Tales of Legendia, Final Fantasy X-2 or Grandia X, it might make you hate the series before you even get into them.

Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XII, Kingdom Hearts I and II, and Star Ocean Till The End of Time
