you guys think S-E actually care what sony boys think. As long as Microsoft gives them money, they will keep giving the 360 their best titles and if they go bankrupt microsoft has their back. So i suggest you stop whining and get a 360 if you want to play their jrpgs. You know KH3 is coming :)

I believe you are being a bit pessimistic (except for FF13), but even if it makes 9M, that makes 2008 + 2009 = ~ 13M

2006 + 2007 = 14M

 

Which means that there is no real dropoff in SE's sales, which I believe was Rei's point.

 

If anything I'm being optimistic....especially for DQ9 & the DS KH game

 

 

 You are being extremely optimistic sadly enough. Final Fantasy is very unlikely to sell that much given the install base of the platform. Even if the PS3 doubles it would need an attach rate of around 50% which is very unlikely.

 Its worth noting that their sales are down 75%, but their releases are down just over 50%. SE really is not doing that badly considering the games that were released.

If what we saw recently are "best titles" then MS can buy them for all I care.

And sure, KH3 is coming. Not as a 360 exclusive - and most likely on the Wii.

Square is pahthetic, let there games flop to hell, they deserve every bit of it, and let there " 360 will win japan" statement continue on, once the ps3 kicks off(if ever), Im sure they will come crawling back.

Oh god.. Your kidding right? Firstly, FFXIII is an exclusive in Japan, where the game matters most. Secondly, it's been in the Playstation franchise for a long time, I can CONFIRM that it will for a fact sell better on PS3 because of those 2 reasons, quote me on it.

Out of Japan, I don't really know. FF is pretty small in Others (big, but nowhere as big as in Americas/Japan). It will definately sell more on 360 in Americas. I think that the Others total will be short off 2M (combined), with a 66/33 split (favouring the Ps3). Can the 360 outsell the Ps3 version by more than that in Americas? Maybe.

 

Final Fantasy selling "good" in north america for 360? I just don't see it happening.

 

 Really? That's interesting.

Take this into consideration though.

- X360 is likely to have a more than twice as big installed base by the time FFXIII releases.

- The average X360 owner buys 33% more games than the average Ps3 owners.

 

On another note.

It is really interesting. Because Square Enix isn't supporting the Ps3 more than 360, some Ps3 owners feel that SE betrayed Sony/them.

I'm not sure the Internet will ever forgive Square Enix for E3 2008.

 SE has never said anything like "360 will win in Japan", stop lying. And the sole reason why PS3 is still alive in the region is because Final Fantasy XIII is coming to the console exclusively. Your "they will come crawling back" doesnt make any sense.
