Question.. why do certain people reffer to Okami on the Wii as one of the good games on the Wii , when speaking about sales?

It's always sited as a sales flop... it's very odd, that in all the refferences I've seen not a single person remembers it's a port of a game that floped on a system with an install base that is roughly +350% that of the Wii's current install base.

If a 130 million people isn't enough for that game to even break 1 million copies sold then how is 37 million going to relate in sales?

Well I believe the numbers if rational ratio's meaning size of install base versus units sold within the 8th month of the games release on that platform, then we would probably see that the Wii version had a relative attach rate.

Instead Zack n' Wiki is sited.. well what about Resident Evil UC? What about almost every Sonic game...

That conception of good or bad is just as hypocritical a task as being the arbitor of right and wrong, recognizing when the substance is subjective would help the people who constantly cite the above games from citing them again and again. ^_^

If the games are good go buy it and have fun, if it doesn't sell to others, know that they are missing out on your fun - try to get family and friends involved in that type of thing also.

The hype and success didn´t came from the name alone, (Wii music is a nice example) those games really offer something different and innovative for a lot of people, again LBP got those sales for the demographics not for being an bad game, some people forget about the 15+ millions of PS3 owners who haven´t get it...

LBP isn't selling as well as its impossible expectations, but for a new IP, it is selling very well. The legs seem great for a normal title.

However, it will NOT help establish a casual audience for the PS3. You need more than 2 or 3 games to do that. Variety sells.

I know the fanboy hype for LBP was over the top, but if you want to have a discussion you should leave the fanboy stuff out.

The numbers for LBP are underwhelming. They will improve in time, thanks to being bundled, an increase PS3 install base, and as prices go down. It will still sell a bit now, but the numbers on it look horrible week to week. It should at least reach the 1 million mark as it is currently at ~800k WW. Will it reach 2mil? The way things look it is doubtful, but still possible (especially if it is going to bundle for a while).

but bottom line is is one of the best games that been released so far, and this game will last me a long long time. im happy with my purchase.

theres nothing on any other system that comes close to this, as many other ps3 titles this one will also trickle along nicely
