You have 223 posts in a gaming sales website and you don't know the consoles' prices in your own country?

1 - I said I was buying the console in the states

2 - Me posting on a gaming site doesn't mean my posts have anything to do with the value of the console.

3 - Could you tell me where I say i don't know the price of the consoles here in Venezuela?

Anyways, thanks, think I'm going with the PS3 for 4 main reasons:

- Free Online
- Reliability
- Friend's have online aswell
- If my 360 were to break do to RROD or any other reason, I'd have to wait months for it to get fixed because I'd need to send it back to the States for the fix

Now, I need to know the prices on the PS3. How much is the 80 Gig version, what does it come with, what add-ons should I get for it, etc.

Thanks to everyone, you guys have me some great info.

Sorry, I misread your post :P

My Mario Kart Wii friend code: 2707-1866-0957

Get a PS3 dude!
$400 PS3 80gb
-wifi built in
-Dual Shock 3 Controller
-Free Online Play(besides DLC)
-No need for batteries or purchasing a separate rechargeable one. Comes with usb to charge it from system
-Much more reliable hardware then the 360 is. I can promise you that
-BluRay player built in as well. Get the jump on the new disc format in town that is taking it's stroll to the top.
-Built in web browser as well in system
-Ultimate multimedia device which allows you to utilize usb drives or even a portable hard drive. All you have to do is plug it into a usb port. The PS3 will actually be able to read any movies, music, and pictures you have on it. That is something the 360 lacks as well.
-Wirelessly link PS3 with PC to stream movies and music just like 360.
-PS3 allows you to use no propriatary stuff. Like I can actually use my PC controller which is modeled after a PS2 controller on most games for PS3. I also can upgrade my hardrive for a fraction of the cost of what it takes to upgrade a 360 hard drive, and with way more space.

Also there is...
$500 PS3 Bundle
-Comes with everything previously stated for 400 version.
-Uncharted:Drakes fortune, an awesome game(AA) for PS3. The game its self is still worth 44.99 USED at gamestop(I KNOW this cuz I work their). So thats a 50 dollar game right there.
-comes with some downloadable games yet I cannot remember which ones.
-and this version has a 160gb hardrive instead of an 80gb one. Trust me, it may seem as if all this space goes to waste but if you are a tech nut like myself and DL'd a lot of movies and music etc that space will be gone in no time. Also very useful for games that demand installs to play.

Niether of the previously mentioned versions are backwards compatible though with PS2 games. Though I would give ALL the facts.

if you can find....
MGS4 PS3 Bundle.
-Comes with all the stuff previously mentions in 400 skued one.
-MGS4 needs no introduction, get this one if you have a chance or you are crazy.
-comes with PAIN DL game.
-$500 price tag.
-Fully Backwards Compatible

Well I was waiting for your gaming taste before I made a suggestion (and i was gonna tell you that the 360 wasn't region free so I don't know if you would be able to play games you get from Vanezuela on a US console.. but I know you can on Ps3) but since you made your mind up anyway...

I havent been in any stores lately but I think there is that Uncharted Bundle. It's 160gig Harddrive with dual shock controller and uncharted game (and a free download for PAIN a PSN game) for 500 dollars. You'd need to buy HDMI cables but newegg should have one for under 10 dollars.

should i get a ps3 or xbox 360?

The PS3 is more worth the money too - you get more for the price!

until blu ray movies become obsolete.

By that time the dvd for the 360 would be on ashes.
