5. Playstation 3 is so powerful that Sony officially announced it is more powerful than what Playstation 4 will be.

Great post.

I'm thinking all those Chuck Norris facts should be replaced with PS3 facts.

"3. Due do polymicroprocessors, Playstation 3 is the first system powerful enough to deliver 4-D graphics."

I always get a kick out of this one as we've had 3-d since back in atari days technically and 4-d since the N64 I'll explain.

There are three dimensions of space, length, width, and heigh X, Y & Z planes

We actually had the 4th dimension before we had the 3rd. The 4th dimension is the concept of space-time. When you refer to a fourth dimension it's likely that you're placing a time line on the first 3 spatial dimensions.

So I mean really even the NES/Atari had a time line for where the picture would be no? So let's change 2-d to 3-d and 3-d to 4-d! wooo!!

I explained this in another thread and I think a lot of people's eyes glazed over.

The fourth dimension doesn't have to be time. It could be probability or, like the Playstation 3 uses its GPU for, chicken nuggets.

Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

Ok, sure it doesn't have to be time...but in no way could it be probability or chicken nuggets. Neither of those two things can contain the 3 spacial dimensions.

Basically in order for something to be a new dimension it needs to be able to contain every X, Y, Z at any given point along its axis.  So for example, at any given point in time there exists every point in space.  So as a result any location is not accurately defined by just X, Y, Z but also requires T.

I can illustrate this by saying "Meet me in Central Park NY City, at the yellow bench just inside the southeast entrance." which is an X, Y, Z coordinate.  To which you would probably reply "When?" which is your way of asking for the T coordinate.  Your question is valid because at every point in time there exists the space that is currently occupied by Central Park.  So I might answer your question with "Tomorrow at noon". In any case all of this information gives you the exact location in space-time we are to meet which is defined by the coordinate quadruplet (X, Y, Z, T).

==> not bad

Time to Work !

1. This thread is awesome. I laughed so hard.

2. Probability is not a dimension, nor can it be.

For the parents who may be bidding on this system, you might be wondering why your child wants this so much.

9. Beating a hooker in Grand Theft Auto on a Playstation 3 looks more realistic than beating a hooker in real life.

 LMAO!!
