Hmmm, it won`t sell that much. HSG and GT are probably in the same level salewise in Japan, so I expect HSG numbers, maybe a bit more. In USA, it will sell far less than normal, thx to lower usebase and far stronger competition from Forza and PGR. In Europe, I expect it to sell good. But don`t go expecting crazy numbers like the other versions. 3 million until PS3

just realized it was released near the end of the month.. so expect another good week for ps3 both hardware and software wise in japan :D

Yoor post made it seem like GT sales have ever been similar to that of HSG, so either you are a troll or just a idiot. Either way your threads are always pointless troll jobs and you make way to may of them. Do you work in research and flood every forum with "what you think" threads,that would explain alot, you are the forum version of a car slaesman or telemarketer.

Protip; Know what you're talking about

GT5 Prologue is comming out this winter, NOT GT5. Prologue has ~25 cars AFAIK, and a couple tracks. Overall, its similar to the previous Prologue titles that came to the PS2 in Japan, but not the US. Speaking of this, does anyone know for certain that Prologue is hitting the US and not staying region exclusive.

Overall, I can't see the sales being mindblowing by anymeans. I bet this ends up as a network title, with a budget price.

1/HGS5 have sold well for the 1st week even if this is under ur expectation
2/HGS5 is a japan targeted product that always do better in Japan than others.
3/ GT is a WORLDWIDE LICENSE. One of the bigger since it helped a lot the PSX in europe. It is also a good license in japan.
All the first GT/console make good score because of the graphical upgrade when they it the "last gen sony console"
On PSX GT> GT2
On PS2 GT3> GT4
4/ "GT5 prologue", or "GT5" have already shown to us beautifful realistic graphism in the car modelisation (better than PGR4) that is a very important point for GT fan. I believe GT5 will be the 1st system seller of the PS3 (it depends when it will be released in fact).
He will do a lot better than HGS5. A lot.
5/ Since GT5 prologue is not a full game, an important factor will be the price of the game. If the game cost 60$ people will not buy it, waiting for GT5. If the game is not too expensive (30$?40$?), it will sell like hot cake.
6/ GT5 : 1st week japan+NA+PAL > 1000k.
