You realize that it will probably have the best first week for a 360 game ever in Japan. Tales of Vesperia is currently the best at 106K first week. The Last Remnant numbers do not include the Last Remnant 360 HW bundles, either.

I saw 58k for Animal Crossing and was about to say looks like the game might be a "flop" like Wii Music. Then saw an additional 117k for the non Wii Speak version. Not too bad given the game will have super legs.

Woo hoo, 175k for Animal Crossing day 1. I think that´s great, I was a bit worried because the japan market has been so down lately but that´s the autumn period I guess... I think Animal Crossing first day sales is higher than Mario Galaxy, wasn´t Galaxy something like 125-150k last year? Anyway finally some good news for Wii in Japan softwarewise.

I don't see how the game selling well (which I don't think IGN ever stated that it wouldn't) make them a laughing stock?

Mario Galaxy was 130k. AC is the 3rd biggest Wii launch game after SSBB and MKWii.
It will easily outleg SSBB so it can be the 2nd best non-"wiii" selling title.
