Forums - Website Topics - What is the quickest browser? eg, firefox, explorer 9, opera browser?

This will sound like advertisement, but Firefox really is superb.

I use Opera Mini on my mobile.

Safari is the fastest browser I've used in it's default configuration. However, add Noscript and Adblocker to Firefox and you cut out tons of bloated crap, dramatically improving load time.

Firefox wins. Wish Safari had that kind of flexibility.

 Have you used other browsers?

Lately? Just IE7 as little as possible.

I've used older versions of several browsers. Omniweb was good, but wanted a fee for full functionality. I haven't tried Chrome, but since it's basically a cousin of Safari which phones home to Google I expect it has similar performance. I tried Opera (not including Wii version) a couple versions ago and wasn't especially impressed, but some people seem so enthusiastic about it that I might try it again if I decide Safari and/or Firefox aren't cutting the mustard.

I've reverted back to firefox here lately and I don't like it.  There really isn't a very good free fully functional fast browser out there anymore.  Firefox is probably the best of the free, but not by much.

Has anyone here tried the KDE4 version of Konqueror Windows Port? Safari is based off of Konqueror, however, it has a more security minded approach to it. For instance, Konqueror runs Flash and java plugins in their own processes so as not to crash or slow down the browser.

i use all 3, firefox for vgchartz, opera for porn and explorer when i let my mom browns on the pc

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
