Yeah, on second look it matches pretty well, I mistakenly thought 2007 totals were for the whole year, but as you say it's just for the same period as 2008.

Maybe this and pre-emptive strikes by nordlead and noname are keeping the trolls at bay...

360: 191k
Wii: 183k
PS3: 97k
PS2: 63k
Rock Band 2
360: 483k (363k in September, 120k in October)
PS3: 119k (October only)
VGC US estimates (90% of Americas):
Guitar Hero: World Tour
360: 319k (67% too high)
Wii: 221k (21% too high)
PS2: 124k (97% too high)
PS3: 116k (20% too high)
Rock Band 2
360: 578k (417k in September (15% too high), 161k in October (34% too high))
PS3: 121k (2% too high)
High figures all around, though Rock Band 2 is closer overall. 360 and Wii GH: WT much closer in the first week than originally expected. PS2 full band version was apparently delayed most places until last week, so that would explain the low sales there.

Wii: 2 (yes two!)
VGC figures for Rock Revolution:

Clearly a bit optimistic here.
(It looks like the Wii version was actually delayed until last week as well.)

Is it safe to assume that Matt Mathews will no longer have his NPD analysis over at Edge any longer? I never knew he did the same thing for Gamasutra.
