If it wasn't Ms it would have been someone else(EA comes to mind) stopping Sony "dominance" as you say.But all bs aside it was Halo 1 and nothing else that beat ps3 before it hit a year later.Thinking back on it, when i was considering which console to buy. I had a choice of waiting a year for the ps3 and hoping Sony would remake my favorite games.Or hopping on the new sku with a game that i had never heard of before but had a room full of guy's "gitty as school girls"yes and that game was halo: combat evolved.

Am I the only one sick of seeing people say Microsoft stole exclusives from Sony? Look at the amount of users for both HD consoles. For the most part there's not a huge gap in there. Developers see these consoles as basically the same damn thing, and so they bring their games out on both systems. How many games can you expect to sell if you stay exclusive? It's more practical to go multiplatform. These developers are in it to make money, not friends. Why is this even an issue in the first place? It's not like the Sony fans can't play the game anymore.

Because now you have 2 strong multi-billion dollar corporations in Microsoft and Sony which are trying to eventually dominate the industry.

Surprised? At no time ever since MS entered this market did they ever say they were there to beat out the competition and become a dominant figure. Actually all I can remember them saying is bringing down Sony from it's former glory, or something like that. Which is why they wanted to buy Ninty out in the beginning. ONce that failed and Ninty took off they sought to attach themselves to them to put Sony as the stagnant creature in the market. Every move MS has done thus far has been against Sony and it's working haha which is the disturbing part.

Samsung has been keeping Sony from dominance in the TV circuit as well.

In the end, MS wants to have it's feet in EVERYTHING.

1st it was Computers
2nd it was MP3 Players
Currently it's Gaming

and once they know they have a hold of the gaming market it will be something new.

It's only true, that's the sad part.

Sad that they've been giving their customers good games to support the console. Yeah, I totally see your point.
