Do all the Automobile companies have these same issues? i.e , they all dont give permission for showing damage?

probably, they like to think the cars they make are industractable. or they all play gt and suck ass at it so they realize if damage was added they would never win

I entered the thread wondering what type of technical problems GT5 was facing. Now I am leaving the thread wondering why I entered in the first place.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

It'll be GT1 again. Every single GT game has been GT1. They don't change.

Yeah, they don't change.... except for the tuning options, tracks, cars, physics, reward systems, and online modes. How many of these GT games have you actually sat down with? Coming off that ignorant post, I'd say zero.

heh, that could be it. But still, damage would be the big thing for GT5, if implemented. Maybe Polyphony should go the konami way. If you dont get the license, use the same car, and change the name(like the ridiculous alternate team names in PES). Like Ferrali, McRalen etc etc.

Wait, the car companies actually have to damage their own car, or show one that is damaged, to these developers?

Can't the developers just use their imagination? Does the damage really have to be perfectly realistic for each individual car? Damn that's really paying attention to detail.. :P

I don't think thats the case.. Car companies like their cars in games because it's good advertising, but damaged cars aren't seen as such good advertisement.

lol at yet another fail thread.....................all they are saying is that its proving difficult to get ferrari to agree 2 damage on thier licenced cars. the visual damage on forza2 is very very poor indeed wen u compare it to things like burnout. i feel in turn10's game they had to limit visual damage on all cars to keep in line with ferrari's allowance for it. otherwise it wud cleary stand out that all other cars hav shit loads of pieces missing and feraris only a bumper hanging off...................imo thats y forza2 damage was crap, i feel gt5 damage will be similar because of ferrari restrictions if u know wat i mean..............just an opinion mind u
