Okay, 18 months, not 24. He wasn't that far off.

I think Gameplay and "CGI" is far off.

There was a CGI trailer from 2006. This one is not it.

Wow, a gameplay vid? Impressive, didn't know about that.

Still, 18 months ago. They need to get their shit together regardless XD

Jeez. Of course people think its vaporware. Really.. after over years of this crap I doubt people even care anymore. FF:CC wasn't that great of a game.

Good to know it isn't cancelled. I never completely believed the rumors though but it's nice to get confirmation.

The announcement tomorrow will be that you can buy the game on Dec 9th

That would be strange, yet interesting. Ultimately it would bomb wouldn't it?

why? First off It is Square Enix and a Final Fantasy game. Now, it isn't main series so I wouldn't expect it to get those kind of sales, but the short notice shouldn't hurt it overall.

Also, 1 month is more than enough time with proper advertising to make people aware of a games release. We've known it exsisted for years, so now all they would have to do is put out a ton of screens and gameplay vids and the websites will chew it all up and post it all over the place. Instant hype for those interested. The non-internet addicted gamers would then have to see adverts in a store, which 1 month is more than enough time for.

Maybe it would nerf 1st day sales, as people wouldn't have it pre-ordered, but who cares if the sales over the long run are just as good.

edit: oh, and I'm not really serious about the release date thing. I just think it would be interesting

Lol, let's wait until tomorrow, because not being cancelled doesn't mean it isn't being moved to another platform or being remade a more casual game, like a party or multiplat DS/Wii game.

Well, 1 more day until nothing obviously. It will be May 2007 all over again, that means a guy comes out, shows the same 5 second gameplay vid and tells us the game is being made.
Then next year at TGS, people wondering where the game is.
