PS2>Xbox360 >> Wii > PS3.

the much larger userbase of Wii at the realese of 08 should help Wii barly pass PS3. If not the PS3 fans are bored and can't find another game to play.

There's a crow-eating thread already,  I agree to use your avatar and acknowledge your greatest there and here, but not in general, should PS3's version indeed outsells the Wii.  I think you doing the same would be fine should 'Wii' win. lol, made a incidental pun. 'Wii' will win!

I'd say sales by the end of the year would be fair.  Does that sound fair to everyone else?

PS2>360>PS3>Wii Will add on though that the Wii and PS3 numbers will be very very close and will be by far the worst selling versions of the game for all platforms. I think it's more that PS3 owners are generally tied to sports games as evidence by the PS2's success over the years (and this year too). But, it will be close.

Also, if Madden gets reviews that are in the range of NCAA 08, expect it to sell much worse on all the next gen consoles while people dust off their PS2 to play it or just not buy this version. If EA can't figure out the online headaches, it will push many people into holding off and either just renting the game or waiting till next years when more bugs can be worked out.

Legs on Wii are longer than legs on PS3. I did find it surprising how far behind the wii is with initial sales, but the wii still has some chance of catching up.

It won't ever catch up to PS3. Lots of people wrong here. Disappointing for Wii. But then again...not a big deal if it's just Madden.

hmmm, probably should learn something here. party modes on madden is a waste of resources. people who aren't interested in madden won't get it just because of party modes, and people who are interested in madden would just get the "best" version anyway. to use an extreme example, adding a "party mode" on bioshock is completely pointless. less obvious for madden, but same idea nonetheless.

however, i believe party mode for FIFA would have slightly more impact on the Wii than madden. in order of impact:

FIFA party mode > NBA Live party mode > Madden party mode.

quite frankly there are so many variables the party mode probably amounts to mere noise... it still comes down to the core gameplay.
