What are the good platformers for wii? Galaxy, De Blob and Death Jr.?

I don't think you read the title...platformers...

No it won't ever match n64 for many reasons. Rare no longer makes nintendo games...platformers are not really that popular...

There were several Mario's on both NES and SNES.

There's been 2 Zeldas on all Nintendo consoles.

So it isn't the first time.

Well first of all, Zelda games are not platformers. There isn't even a jump button.

Secondly, I'm going to say...maybe, but it won't be easy.

Yoshi's Story(FU people! This game rocks regardless of it's toddler-aged difficulty)

Granted I don't like every one of these games, but I know that each his it's own fanbase to warrant a mention.

I read the title, and honestly i think it already is, I enjoyed very few N64 games, one of it celebrated platforms, mario 64, i veiw as one of the worst mario games ever made. 

honestly all the wii has to over come is conkers which was good for the time, but did not age well. and the banjo games. which im sure N can comp 

and I guess to push it further i disagree with the use of awesome platformers  and N64 being used together unless its to say the N64 did not have awesome platformers 

No console this generation will.

Maybe it will, maybe it will... without Rare it'll be difficult.
Offtopic: Do any of you think that the platformers will rise again?

n64 definitely was the best 3D system for platformers, although thats nothing compared to the NES, SNES, and genesis. but between mario 64, banjo 1 & 2, and conker you have 4 of the best platformers ever. and then like Onyxmeth listed there were some good platformers backing those great ones up. (although honestly, DK64 was terrible. it was super hyped up, but failed in that it was boring. i played it for one week and never played it again).

These days, due to the death of the genre thanks to 3D, outside of mario, equaling the n64 platformers would be tough in terms of true platformers. although a bunch of action games do have platform elements most of those games i just consider action games and not platformers.
