Will the Wii ever match the 64 in terms of awesome platformers?

As we already know that there is comming a SMG 2, I would say that the Wii has a good change of equalling the N64.

And we do know that SMG2 is coming? Hopefully it'll be fun in comparison to the first.

 

I don't count those games. They may be good considering the Wii's library, but they're nothing compared to BK/DK64/Mario 64.

 

Does that mean that you didn't like the first Super Mario Galaxy?

BTW, there isn't any real proof, but Miyamoto has given some solid hints at it.

 

de Blob is a lot of fun in my opinion but I guess that's just me.

And wouldn't that be the first time he's had more than 2 storyline games in a generation since Nintendo. Maybe SNES through technicality.

 

There were several Mario's on both NES and SNES.

There's been 2 Zeldas on all Nintendo consoles.

 

So it isn't the first time.
