Chrono Trigger DS Has New Ending

Wondering how the upcoming DS Chrono Trigger remake is different? Previously, it's been mentioned that there is a new dungeon. That's not all as according to Famitsu, DS version is getting a new character mode and a new ending. The character mode has event scenes, music tracks, monster data and a treasure map.

Hit the jump for two screens that, Famitsu says, are connected to the new ending.

Been so long since I played this game, can't wait for the release, already preordered it.

Hmm...Still not worth paying money for a game I've beaten roughly fifty or so times, but it's good news for those of you looking for one last go.

Shoot, I'll probably break down and get this down the road anyways, principles be damned.

There are games I've beaten 50 or so times and then there are games I've beaten 50 or so times I could easily beat another 50 times.  I'm going to get this game, just $40 is too much to ask at the moment when it's a DS game I already own 2 copies of (SNES and PS versions).

But oh yes, this game will be mine probably come January.  Hopefully by then I can find a used copy for slightly cheaper at least.

Sold! I got a lot of games on my "to get" list, but Chrono Trigger is a must have. If I have to trade in a couple of older games or something, I'm getting this one. It's been too long since I played it!!

Yay! New ending! Do any of you think someone from CC might make an appearance? When they released the PS version they did put a cutscene of Lucca finding Kid...

Man, I can't believe how companies are cashing in on old nostalgia by pushing out hastily cobbled together crappy ports of old games without even adding anything to the game.

Now I actually have a reason to beat the game. It's been so long since I played through it properly.

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.
