First week:

Wii: 800k
360: 600k
Ps3: 400k

End of the year:

Wii: 2 million
360: 1,2 million
ps3: 800k

LT:

Wii: 5 million
360: 2 million
ps3: 1 million

Something like that. Wii has a lot bigger userbase than other consoles and in my opinion, wii somewhat lacks at fps-games. So this should sell a LOT.

You really think it will sell that much on Wii and beat the 360 version lifetime sales with 3 million.

22 million vs 35 million userbases and lack of shooters on platform with larger userbase. Should be pretty obvious? Not to mention 360 owners who "know" that this is not the same as cod 4.

Oh an there is one GOW2 to compete against... ;)

I don't think the Wii version will do that well either.
99% of the Wii owners that are multiplatforms owners will purchase it on their HD console.
And most of the FPS fans already have a HD console.
Aside from graphics, Wii really isn't the best plaform for FPS ( I somewhat doubt Wii can get anything soon like 8 players Coop mode that Re2 has when 30 enemies spawn and rush you or anything like Horde mode in GoW2..)

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Activision 1 1,063,353 1,063,353
2
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Activision 1 412,441 412,441

That is from last year, so this year I expect:

360 = 1.5m
PS3 = 750k
Wii = 350k

LTD

360 = 7m
PS3 = 4.5m
Wii = 1m

Waaay too much for 360 and a decent bit too much for PS3.

1. It has serious competition

2. It plays in WWII

3. Many gamers will stay with Call of Duty 4 (thx to the excellent MP)

4. It's made by Treyarch

5. It's NOT called Call of Duty "5"

1. Like all games released on holidays. Also like CoD4. And it didn't stop it from selling 10 mln just last year.

Because it was the best shooter of 2007. CoD WaW won't be the best shooter of this year.
2. Why would it be a problem? I don't think that CoD4 sold so well becouse it was in modern time but becouse it was great.

Many, many, maaaany people are tired of WWII shooters.
3. So a good prequel (orginal game) will hurt sequal sales? That's pretty stupid argument if you ask me.

No it isn't. CoD4 is still very popular, so you think people will move on after only 1 year, especially when the online play is (most likely) worse in the new Cod ?
4. So? How many potential buyers know this or even know what Treyarch is? (I don't).

Those who bought Call of Duty 2 Big Red One (a bit above mediocre), Call of Duty 3 (good, but worst in the original series) and Quantum of Solace (mediocre). You can look up what they developed before, but I can tell you it's nothing world shattering.
5. A name shouldn't have to big influene, should it?

Well people could think, that it's not the real sequel to CoD4 and just a spin-off.

My prediction:
X360 - 2 mln
PS3 - 1 mln
Wii - 60k

 Every one has there own prediction but i really doubt that it will outsell 360 version that much or even outsell it look at Cod4 its at 6.5 million and still selling.

Except Metriod i cant think of a fps game that has sold really good on Wii.

This is not the same as cod 4, remember that. :p Well if there hasn't been big selling fps-games on wii, shouldn't there be one soon? Why not cod:waw.

@ Kulle.

I guess it could happen but i yet again doubt it will outsell 360 maybe even ps3.

Userbase only works in favor for the wii version for future sales or legs.  Otherwise it really has no bearing on the first few weeks.  So unless the Wii version is able to pull a Guitar Hero then it's doubtful it'll be the best selling version.  But it is valid to say that there is a starved FPS crowd there along with little to no competition this holiday season that could mean success but not that kind of success.

I could be wrong but I would think most of Wii users starved for FPS have either gone Multiconsoles or will this chrismas with the latest 360 price drop....

Which is why it's potential not fact.  Everything discussed as reasoning for sales of a product before it releases is the discussion of product potential as there is never a guarantee that the buyers will think that.  I have no idea if the FPS starved Wii crowd will actually buy into it.  I mean MOHH2 didn't necessarily sell well in America but COD5 is just a different scenario in my opinion along with The Conduit next year.  But as you said, it is probable that they have another console and will get the other version.  ONce again it's potential we are discussing so I will never make a finite clause for that.

@Barozi:
1. Perhaps but what it has to due with competition? Game always have lots of competition on holidays and most of them sell really good. And not only the good ones.

2. How do you know? I'm not saying it's opposite I have no data for it either.

3. Lots of sports games are released each year and somehow people buy new versions each year. And people won't know if online is better or not before they try it (read next point).

4. It's not the case if this developer is good or not. Most people don't know who developed Cod4 and who developed CoD: WaW. I agree with you that this game probably won't be as good as CoD4 but word of mouth can't really hurt first week sales. Also I just visited gamerankings and couldn't see any CoD:WaW rewievs. So reviewers won't hurt first week sales either just becouse there aren't any yet. Maybe that's how they planned it: maybe they know that game isn't so good so don't they want to destroy hype with bad, pre-release reviews.
