I loved the ending. But if you've finished MGS 4, the entire story is spoiled.

I was blown away by cut scenes and story the first time i played, and then i had to buy PS2 and PS3 to play every MGS game. I played it again after finishing MGS1, 2, and 3 just for cut scenes and story. And you can't compare PS2 MGS to portable one because of budget and hardware limitations.

The story was relevant to the whole saga, it seem you didn't played MGS4.
This is the only MG/MGS game I haven't played (continuity wise). I'm holding out hope for a PS2/MGS4 Special Edition port. I hope it's better than the OP suggests. More than once, I considered buying a PSP for this game.
Yep played it 12 hours straight.Missed school...
Havent tried online.
Take my love, take my land..
Only MGS Ive had finished... yes mostly because its on the PSP :D I actually enjoyed it but I dont think that I would include it in my top 10 PSP games list :P
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
Great game with some flaws (camera)
But the story is awesome sauce and the boss battles are also quite epic ^^

The best PSP game would be either Patapon or Jean D'Arc. MGS:PO is a great game, which needs some time before the recruit system shines. Not up to MGS or MGS4 levels of quality, but pretty damn close. Give it some more time...

I finished MGS4 twice and I know the MG saga story very well. Portable Ops has some interesting tie-ins, specially the ones about Ocelot and the CIA and knowing what happened right after Snake became Big Boss, but it's not like there would be anything you wouldn't understand about MGS4 if you didn't play Ops. I expected the game to covered more ground, where did Zero go? where and how the Les Enfant Terribles project was done? I really wished to see Snake becoming the "evil" BIG BOSS of his own Outer Heaven. We know he practically "took" the whole idea from Gene and of course we know what he did exactly with that vision, but it would have been awesome to play all the things that happened before Solid Snake infiltrated Outer Heaven. I'd say there's still a lot of material to cover from 1971 to the early 90s. They should make Portable Ops 2 based on that!
