beat it once, it was very good. I tried to make as many missions as I could on the first run, but many of them didn't interest me. The story was good, but nothing I would consider too relevant to the whole MG saga.

The story was relevant to the whole saga, it seem you didn't played MGS4.

I finished MGS4 twice and I know the MG saga story very well. Portable Ops has some interesting tie-ins, specially the ones about Ocelot and the CIA and knowing what happened right after Snake became Big Boss, but it's not like there would be anything you wouldn't understand about MGS4 if you didn't play Ops. I expected the game to covered more ground, where did Zero go? where and how the Les Enfant Terribles project was done? I really wished to see Snake becoming the "evil" BIG BOSS of his own Outer Heaven. We know he practically "took" the whole idea from Gene and of course we know what he did exactly with that vision, but it would have been awesome to play all the things that happened before Solid Snake infiltrated Outer Heaven. I'd say there's still a lot of material to cover from 1971 to the early 90s. They should make Portable Ops 2 based on that!
