Forums - Sony - Bump in PS3 numbers?

Starting today Walmart has thrown some incentives down on Electronics... and I think they gave a decent one for the PS3... we sold all of ours (only 3, but they have been sitting there for a couple weeks) within a few mins.  HDTVs were cut hundreds of dollars for some models... it's like a black friday only early and... not on friday

Yeah walmart did this before for ALL blu-ray players which included the Ps3. it gave the PS3 a decent increase that (half?) month.

I don't think vgchartz is able to track Wal-mart so I don't know if it will be reflected in the numbers. It's a great deal.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

I received a private invitation to a special 2 hour sale at Best Buy (tomorrow). They didn't list the details of savings. but was Sony High Definition. Although I am sort of in the market for a HDTV, I don't really have the time. I figure whatever special sale price is there now, will be a regular or at least an easy to find sale price 6 months from now.

The don't mention PS3, but it wouldn't surprise me. The ad does mention that there will be 30+ Nintendo Wii systems (limit 1 per customer) during the 2 hour sale at each store.

The irony of using the wii to attract customrs for a high def tv sale.

Walkmart is not tracked by VGchartz I think

Time to Work !

Walmart is not tracked by NPD, I don't know about vgchartz.

As mentioned, Walmart isn't the only store with special Sony promotions.

Worse case, the numbers will get revised eventually from quarterly or yearly reports.

Walmart isn't tracked by anybody. They refuse to release sales numbers.

Walkmart is not tracked by VGchartz.

How come it isn't tracked?

its not tracked because its not tracked.
